This is the CLAIMS phase of the Big Bang, and where the artists come in! There are now TEN drafts awaiting artists to claim them. By claiming a story, you assert that you will collaborate with your author(s) to produce custom artwork to accompany their story when posting begins in November. There is no penalty-free dropping out after this point. You do not need to be a member of the cap_ironman community or have a Dreamwidth account to make your claim. Anonymous comments on this post are enabled. (Commenting will open when the claiming phase begins).

A recap on some of the main rules:

• Please remember to read through our General Event Policies and the Big Bang Event Guidelines for all participants, as well as the Artists’ Guidelines for this year’s challenge before going on to claim any fics.


• Acceptable art includes traditional and digital art. Other visual mediums—such as edits, manipulations, fanvids or works that rely on or are derivative of existing material—are not eligible for this Big Bang.


• You are required to make, at minimum, one piece of accompanying fanwork for the fic you claim, and can make as many pieces as you'd like. The artwork(s) must be new and made solely for the story in question.


• This is a collaborative challenge; you are expected to keep in touch with your team for the duration of the challenge. You must coordinate with your partner during the posting period.


• All participants must be 18 or older.

Two or three options are recommended as we cannot guarantee that you will get your first choice. Claims will be made on a first-come, first-served basis and you will be assigned the first option that is still available in your list. You may only claim once, and you will be assigned a single fic—this is to give everyone who can't be there for claims opening a chance to claim something as well. Writers, remember that artists have different schedules and timezones, and that though we try to accommodate everyone, your fic may not be claimed in the first few hours. Please be patient, and don’t look at claims as a competition. This challenge is about pairing like-minded creators who will work together to produce exciting new Steve/Tony content; sometimes it takes a while for the right person to come along!

Artists, if the claim time is inconvenient for you, we encourage you to find someone who will put in a claim for you by proxy. All your proxy has to do is comment on the claims post instead of you when the time comes, providing your username, email and claims as set out above in this post. If you do not already know someone who can do this for you, you can email the mod team (cap.im.events@gmail.com) for assistance in finding a proxy.

When matching is complete, we will send out emails to connect artists with their authors, along with further instructions. This might take a while, as making a mistake at this crucial stage is something everyone would like to avoid; please don’t panic if you don’t receive an email immediately. NOTE: After you receive the email, PLEASE RESPOND DIRECTLY CONFIRMING you have received the information. Please wait until you have replied to this email before contacting your partner. After confirming the assignment email has been received, it is the artists’ and writers’ responsibilities to open communications with team members and keep in touch for the duration of the collaboration.

Summary:

Steve's hurt when he breaks everyone out of the RAFT and is found by Fury but Fury's running out of favours to cash in and Steve's not doing well. It's up to Tony to figure out what's happened and how to fix Steve's memory all the while keeping him off of Ross' radar. There's just one problem: Steve thinks they're married.

Non-linear timeline, fake married amnesia fic, hurt/comfort if you squint, Tony is not dealing with his PTSD, Peter has access to Tony's number because screw canon, I have no idea how to reconcile Homecoming's timeline issues so I'm ignoring them. this fic is an excuse to have Stony deal with post civil war fall out in Montana for the pretty backdrop.

Tony had spent most of his twenties becoming a household name as a rising star in Mexican telenovelas, and Avengers Assemble is his breakout role on the big screen – and, more importantly, his introduction to the mainstream US audience.

Even after the movie is completed, Steve and Tony’s friendship remains a source of support that they instinctively rely on for encouragement and guidance. Tony’s fearless approach helps Steve break out of his comfort zone, and Steve’s solid grounding helps Tony focus on what matters.

This promotional tour is a new experience for Tony, but with Steve’s help, his learning curve isn’t so steep. Steve’s learning curve, on the other hand, is life changing.

Summary:

Ten years ago, Tony Stark died.

The only way to save him condemned Tony to life as the undead. It also sentenced him to following the Treaty that secured peace between humans and vampires. Tony’s status as a vampire stripped away his wealth, his rights, and forced him to live under the vengeful eyes of the V-Corps. When he was human Tony revered the V-Corps agents who kept dangerous vampires in their segregated areas. Like all vampires, Tony hated the V-Corps. Until he chanced upon an agent in an illegal Blood Den, where vampires and humans engaged in illicit desires. Looking for a taste of fresh human blood, Tony opened the vein of a willing human only to find out that his delightful salty sweet meal was none other than Captain Rogers, the poster boy for the V-Corps. They shared more than a moment, their lives entwined, and they bonded. When the tenuous peace between humans and vampire shatters though, not only is their forbidden love at risk, but their very lives.

Summary:

Takes place after Avengers and runs 10 years past Avengers 4. It’s MCU, and mostly canon, except for the slash, of course. Tony wants Steve and does something about it. They become a couple and then Civil War happens. Tony gets with Pepper and Steve with Nat though there is nothing on-screen. After IW, Tony comes home from Titan and they reconcile. Steve is willing to die to save the ones who have disappeared because he feels responsible somehow. They (The Avengers) do fix the mess and kill Thanos (which is described but not in horrific detail). Steve goes into the Quantum Realm and is rescued ten years on by Tony who just wants him back.

Most of the action takes place in Wakanda, since Steve is still a fugitive. There is a scene on Titan, though Steve and Tony are not there. Several graphic love scenes.

Universe: MCU, partially set in a partial AU of CA:TFA, the rest set post the first Avengers Movie. None of the rest of the movies apply.

Summary:

Seventy years ago, Steve Rogers underwent a procedure to make him "better". What he didn't know was that the goal was to make him an Alpha, and it worked even better than Erskine had predicted. Not only does he have the enhanced senses, but he's also got an eidetic memory, super strength, and all the other things that made him Captain America. Bucky Barnes had been his platonic Omega during the war, and when he died, Steve was perfectly happy to go to his own death as well.

Now it's seventy years later, and the only Omega that Steve seems able to form a bond with is Tony Stark - who doesn't even want to admit he is one. Plus there's the little problem that Tony's in a relationship with Pepper, and Steve doesn't want to get in the middle. But fate has its own way of forcing things to happen.

Or the story that takes the Sentinel Trope and the A/B/O trope, pushes them together, and says, NOW KISS.

Summary:

Everyone expects Tony, Steve or both to die in Avengers 4, but what if they don't? What if they get to go home all in one piece? What then?

Tony takes a one year vacation into space looking for answers about his place into the world and his personal identity, as he feels it's something he's not been able to give much thought about since becoming Iron Man in 2008. But when he gets back to Earth, he finds out that a lot can go wrong in twelve months, so once again he's called to be a superhero, although in a very different kind of way, because Nick Fury's plan involves Tony infiltrating the US government in order to gather enough evidence to restore democracy.

Torn between his need to protect people and his wish to reconnect with Steve and maybe build a life with him, he'll soon find out that sometimes the hardest battle is not with aliens or supervillains, but with the enemy within.

Summary:

Steve spends his days as a body-swapping agent for SHIELD and many of his nights exploring the various bodies in the bedroom with young tech genius/business heir Tony—until one fateful mission changes everything. Steve wakes up 85 years later in a future where SHIELD is run by Hydra. All his friends are gone, except for a much changed Tony, who recruits Steve to investigate a series of murder attempts. It soon turns out things are much more complicated than they first seemed, and when Steve is finally reunited with the real future Tony, he joins the fight to help Tony regain the life that Obadiah Stane stole from him.

(MCU-based cyberpunk AU, inspired by Altered Carbon (show and books), but not set in that 'verse, so knowledge of it is not required. Includes body swapping, identity theft, past fuckbuddy relationship, and present getting together. Both main characters are in a few different bodies during the story: Steve mostly as Cap!Steve, but also as skinny!Steve and in a human-looking synthetic body; Tony looking like he's in his twenties, an old man, and in his forties.)

Genre: non-powered AU, urban fantasy AU
Universe: ambiguous Avengers fandom; roughly a fusion with the film Practical Magic, though it takes place in California instead of the East Coast and no knowledge of the film is needed to follow the story.
Characters/Pairings other than Steve/Tony: Past Tony/Tiberius Stone, past Steve/Peggy, past Natasha/Bucky. Lots of background/minor pairings. Clint and Natasha are the main secondary characters. Wanda and Loki are prominent in one chapter each.
Warnings: No graphic depictions of violence, major character death, rape/non-con, mpreg, A/B/O, or underage. One character almost drowns, another previously almost drowned and then fell into a coma before recovering, and other characters died from drowning prior to the main story. There is a major plotline wherein a character repeatedly thinks they are being followed, and is essentially supernaturally stalked. There is discussion of (but no detailed descriptions of) the deaths of characters who died prior to the main story, by various means, including a very brief mention of a death by suicide by hanging. Steve has lived his whole life in the coastal California town of Nublado.
