[personal profile] cap_ironman_fe posting in [community profile] c_im_bigbang
This is ROUND TWO of claims.

Claims are now CLOSED. Thank you to all participating artists and authors!

This is the CLAIMS phase of the Big Bang and where the artists come in! Fourteen drafts have been submitted and are awaiting artists to claim them. By claiming a story, you assert that you will collaborate with your author(s) to produce custom artwork to accompany their story when posting begins in November. There is no penalty-free dropping out after this point. You do not need to be a member of the [community profile] cap_ironman comm or have a DW account to make your claim. Anonymous comments on this post are enabled.

Your schedule:
September 30th: Summaries open for artists to claim
October: Artists art, writers put finishing touches on their fics
October 28th: Artist and author teams pick posting date in November
November: Fics and art begin posting

Acceptable art includes traditional art, digital art, and fanvids. Manips and fanmixes are not allowed for this Big Bang. For fanvids, the footage should match the fic canon, and the video should be at least 1min long.

To claim a summary, you will need to leave a comment with the following information:

Three options are recommended; however, you may include more if you wish. If there are only one or two summaries you are interested in, that is also okay. Please do not list summaries that you would not be happy to produce art for.

Claims will be made on a first-come-first-serve basis and you will be assigned one of your claims that is still available.

When matching is complete, we will send out e-mails to hook up artists with their authors, along with further instructions. This might take a while. NOTE: After you receive the e-mail, PLEASE RESPOND TO US CONFIRMING you received the information. Please wait until you have received this e-mail before contacting your partner. It will be your responsibility to open communications with your team members and keep in touch for the duration of the collaboration.

A word about warnings: Many of these stories include bad language, substance abuse, sexual situations, violence, etc. We limited warnings here to the big stuff. If you have a specific concern and would like the mods to vet a story draft before you make your choices, please let us know at cap.im.events@gmail.com.

Please send any questions or things to cap.im.events@gmail.com, especially if we've made a mistake with your summary.

ALFA
Genre: angst
Universe: 616
Characters/Pairings other than Steve/Tony: Carol Danvers, Maria Hill
Warnings: temporary character death
Rating: Teen
Summary: Director Stark is happily married to Steve Rogers. They have no secrets from each other, and quite a lot from the world—mainly that Steve Rogers is really The Captain, an infamous villain.

Unfortunately, the truly important secrets rarely stay hidden, and when Steve's identity gets revealed, Tony will do anything to keep them both safe.

He's a hero, but it might mean crossing a line that a villain would never even approach.

BRAVO
Genre: Romance
Universe: MCU
Characters/Pairings other than Steve/Tony: Steve&Nat friendship, very slight/considered Steve/Other, background Avengers
Warnings: Mild Violence/Injury
Rating: Explicit
Summary: There are things Steve Rogers doesn't like about the future - see: Instagram - and there are things Steve Rogers loves about the future - see: hot, wild, no-strings-attached sex with Tony Stark. That is, until Tony drops the "b" word and Steve realizes that what he thought was casual fun was something much more serious to the other man. When Steve makes it clear he didn't think they were boyfriends, Tony makes it clear that's all he's looking for, and Steve is forced to figure out what he wants, and, once he does, how to get it back.

Features: A giant robot, hurt!Steve, Best Bro Nat, Tony taking an elevator apart all over the gym floor, and Steve, Tony and DUM-E attempting to paint Steve's rooms, which Does Not Go Well™ (until it does).

(Warning: When Steve thinks his relationship with Tony is casual, he does consider going home with someone else, but it doesn't lead to anything. There is a happy, Stony ending.)

CHARLIE
Genre: Soulmate AU
Universe: Ultimates
Characters/Pairings other than Steve/Tony: Steve/Gail, Steve/Jan, Tony/Natasha, Bucky/Gail, Hank/Jan. Steve/Tony is endgame, though.
Warnings: All the Steve and Tony het pairings contain explicit sex (as does the Steve/Tony). Everyone is an asshole because this is Ults, but there is eventually a happy ending for Steve and Tony. Contains canon-typical violence, various unsavory attitudes (e.g., internalized homophobia), mentions of cancer -- basically, if it wouldn't have been out of place in Ults 1 & 2, it's probably in here.
Rating: Explicit
Summary: Steve had always thought a soulbond would be a blessing -- a rare and beautiful miracle, joining your mind with the thoughts and feelings of your soulmate forever. When it turns out Gail isn't his soulmate, that's okay. He can cope. He didn't think he'd be lucky enough to have a soulmate anyway. He's planning to make a life with her after the war nonetheless. Get married. Have children.

Then Steve wakes up sixty years in the future to find that his wonderful life has moved on without him. His family is dead, his fiancée married his best friend, and his only purpose now is leading the Ultimates. He hates it all. And most of all Steve detests Tony, flashy and flirtatious, who embodies everything Steve hates about a world he never wanted to live in.

And, oh, yeah, Steve has a soulmate after all, and it's the last person he ever wanted inside his head: Tony fucking Stark.

(Also known as "Ultimates Steve Is Bad At Sex And Insecure About It: Incidentally Also A Soulmate AU.")

DELTA
Genre: summer camp adventure non-powered AU
Universe: AvAc/Ambiguous
Characters/Pairings other than Steve/Tony: Clint/Bucky, Sam/Jan. Starring most of the main AvAc characters, including Peter Parker, Kamala Khan, Nick Fury, Pepper Potts, Lucky the Pizza Dog, and lots of cameos
Warnings: >no real warnings. Bucky falls off a cliff and breaks his arm, but there is no other violence/danger. Brief references to Howard Stark's A+ Parenting. Possible references to underage drinking (but not shown, just references)
Rating: General Audiences
Summary: “What the hell kind of camp leaves a bunch of teenagers on their own in the woods for a week, anyway?”

That’s a valid question, Tony. This isn’t your average summer camp, after all - this is the Mighty Avenger Adventure Camp! Where you’ll learn all the skills you need to get through Survival Week out in the rugged wilderness, and maybe learn a bit about yourself along the way, all while forging new friendships.

And maybe a budding romance with that pretty blond Counselor in Training. Too bad counselors and campers shouldn’t date...

Set in a camp in the Adirondacks that’s half Wilderness Survival, half Hogwarts (without the magic), this is essentially an ensemble fic with a focus on Tony and Steve. Fun and shenanigans, pining and adventure!

ECHO
Genre: Romance/Drama
Universe: Non-powered MCU AU
Characters/Pairings other than Steve/Tony: light Bucky/Natasha, light Pepper/Rhodey if you squint, and mentions of Tony/Tiberius and Tony/Rumiko
Warnings: (wrongly) assumed major character death, explicit sexual content, drug use, side-pairing infidelity, canonical minor character death, mentions of torture, alcohol use.
Rating: Explicit
Summary: Tony Stark, 18, falls in lust at first sight with a tall, muscular blond soldier he meets at a bar in Boston, where he’s attending MIT. He takes Steve Rogers home for a one night stand, and in the morning Steve tells him he’s shipping out overseas in just a week, so it wouldn’t feel right to embark on a relationship. Tony suggests a week of casual sex with no strings attached, and Steve agrees to it.

Tony, of course, falls in love, but refuses to admit it. When he gets the news that Steve was killed in combat, he’s devastated – but that’s not the biggest curveball life is going to throw at him. Tony’s parents die and his life goes off the rails, and he has a few failed relationships, a drinking problem and a drug problem. When he nearly dies of an overdose, he realizes it’s time to change.

Steve spends two years as an assumed-dead prisoner of war, tortured and beaten and nearly killed, before he’s rescued and brought back to the US. He goes about his life and strives to deal with his physical and emotional injuries, and he wants to go back and find the beautiful boy he fell in love with before he went to war, but he also knows someone like Tony Stark doesn’t have time for a broken down veteran.

One day, years later, Steve is out for a jog and literally runs into Tony on the street – Tony, who still thinks he died in Iraq. Neither of them is in a position to be in a relationship, but they can still be friends. Can’t they?

FOXTROT
Genre: humor/romance
Universe: MCU
Characters/Pairings other than Steve/Tony: Pepper/Happy, T'Challa/Bucky (features most MCU characters, briefly)
Warnings: explicit smut (maybe - it's one of the unfinished scenes and I get lazy with sex scenes)
Rating: Explicit (? Might be downgraded)
Summary: Tony's got his Tower and his team back post Civil War, but now he's got to figure out what exactly he and Steve mean to each other.

Particularly that kiss they avoid talking about, and whether there's any possibility of it ever happening again. Although, it's getting kind of hard to have these serious talks though in the midst of planning Pepper's wedding. Then there's Justin Hammer's untimely probation...

Contains games of airsoft gun assassin, one minor Hulk-out, Clint's kids, avoiding feelings, visiting Avengers, insulting visiting Avengers (no one likes Dr. Strange anyway), and Tony being incredibly obtuse about love and family and what he deserves.

GOLF
Genre: Angst, dark
Universe: 616
Characters/Pairings other than Steve/Tony: None
Warnings: Graphic violence/torture, alcoholism and suicidal thoughts. One scene of non-consensual kissing. Death of an OC.
Rating: Mature
Summary: During Tony’s deepest drinking days, an alien invasion has left half of America in ruins. Now caught between perusing his vice and searching for the Avengers, Tony gets captured by a sadistic alien who takes a shine to him. Hurt and alone, Tony must deal with a ruthless tormenter as well as his guilt, fear and addiction.

When he finally makes it out alive, he is a physical and emotional mess. Steve tries to ease his need to self-destruct but there is a long road ahead. Tony faces the temptation to use alcohol to quiet his demons whilst rebuilding his home, his relationships and himself.

Contains snow-moping, Tony in chains and kissing whilst crying.

HOTEL
Genre: Getting Together
Universe: 616
Characters/Pairings other than Steve/Tony: Sam Wilson
Warnings: No Warnings
Rating: Teen
Summary: Steve is moving to Brooklyn Heights in an attempt to find himself after Sharon’s death and meanwhile, Tony is trying to stay sober by throwing himself into his work and leading the Avengers. Which means it’s a great time for the two of them to get in an argument about Stark International’s new Brooklyn facility and for Steve to realize he’s in love with Iron Man. Cue dramatic public meetings, heartfelt emails, accidental dates, lots of identity porn, and an obligatory scene where the two spar.

(This, kinda, sorta, became the plot of You’ve Got Mail. Nothing distressing really happens, but there are a lot of discussions about gentrification. Also, despite being bronze age 616 identity porn, this is set in the modern day, even if I’m still imagining everyone’s rocking their late 70’s looks.)

INDIA
Genre: Medieval AU, Game of Thrones fusion
Universe: characters from the MCU and Agents of Shield in a fusion with the TV show Game of Thrones. It is mostly to use the settings and concepts. The plot itself has no real similarities to GoT, but more with Iron Man 1.
Characters/Pairings other than Steve/Tony: Minor pairing of Bucky/Nat whom are important secondary characters, Obadiah Stane (villain) Grant Ward (villain), Commander James Rhodes, Lord Clint Barton, Ser Sam Wilson + Redwing, and to a lesser degree Lady Pepper, Maester Banner and King Thor (and various others, including human Jarvis and OCs for plot reasons)
Warnings: Contains explicit violence: the use torture (mostly a mirror of what Tony experiences in Iron Man 1, vague references to Bucky’s time with Hydra), bloody sword fights, executions following a trial, and the use of Wildfire (including bad guys burning alive). Alternating POV between Tony and Steve.
Rating: Mature for violence and also several explicit sex scenes once the slow burn is resolved (note: they switch between top/bottom).
Summary: Anthony is unexpectedly brought back to Winterfell to be King in the North following his parent’s death, even though he would have preferred continuing to work on his special projects (like anonymously participating in tourneys as the Iron Man, and forging his special steel). Anthony’s life is shaken a second time when he is kidnapped and tortured into making swords for Hydra. He has a plan to get out, though, just watch him.

Captain Steven Rogers is rapidly smitten by the unconventional new king but doesn’t want to be just a notch in his bedpost. Thankfully King Anthony doesn’t resent being turned down, and later even gives him a fantastic new shield. After the king is kidnapped right in front of his eyes, Steven will do anything to get him back with the help of his friends. Hopefully they’ll have a chance to start over.

The bad guys are Hydra, led by Counselor Obadiah Stane and mostly aided by Grant Ward, who does the dirty work. Bucky at times pretends he is still the Winter Soldier. For visual elements: Tony working metal, horseback riding, a tourney and a ball, captivity, battles, TLC post rescue, intimate scenes, a trial and executions.

JULIETT
Genre: AU, no powers
Universe: MCU
Characters/Pairings other than Steve/Tony: Bucky/Natasha, Sam/Riley
Warnings: mild angst, self body shame, some mild violence
Rating: Mature
Summary: Steve Rogers’ life just might be in a shambles. His art studio closed and he screwed up his one and only chance to get a job at the Maria Stark Foundation as their Fine Arts Curator. Without an income how can he possibly help his best friend, a disabled Army Vet, or even keep his foster son, Ian? His hopes are dashed for a career in art. He’s going to have to take the job at Shield security, but that means flying a desk as an analyst since he’s 100 pounds of nothing with asthma and a weak heart. It’s his only chance to stay afloat. But then the exasperating Tony Stark appears at his door with a second chance at the art job, a future, and quite possibly a romance of a lifetime.

KILO
Genre: action/adventure love story
Universe: primarily Avengers Assemble -- it's a multiverse story
Characters/Pairings other than Steve/Tony: Steve/Peggy, Tony/Rumiko
Warnings: character death in 1872 universe; there are lots of multiverse stuff, references to canon storylines and supervillain monologuing
Rating: T (could change but will warn before changing)
Summary: Avengers Assemble Tony might have found a way back home to Avengers Assemble Steve but Steve is sucked into a portal. Both Tony and Steve travel through the multiverse, meeting other versions of themselves or living the life of other Tonies and Steves. They reunite briefly during their travels before being separated again. Tony and Steve learn how important they are to each other -- Steve inspires Tony and Tony gives Steve a balanced life -- apart their lives are less than what they can be together. Eventually Steve finds out that Kang is manipulating their travels to stop Tony and Steve from being heroes and being together while Tony has to convince Iron Man: Armored Adventures Tony to save his Steve so that Avengers Assemble Tony can go home. But then Tony ends up in Kang's prison and Steve and Tony need to rescue themselves. Features most major Steve/Tony canons plus some alternative reality canons.

LIMA
Genre: Angst, character study, scrapbook story
Universe: 616 AU
Characters/Pairings other than Steve/Tony: Reed Richards/Sue Storm, Pepper Potts/Happy Hogan, Friday, Carol Danvers
Warnings: Character death(s), suicidal ideation about in line with what you'd find in the comics, discussion of body modification and alcoholism, and graphic fight scenes
Rating: Mature
Summary: Tony Stark champions the Registration Act, engineers all-new ways to self-flagellate, loses his identity in Iron Man, and comes to blows with Captain America. Canon remix of Civil War told from Tony's POV and interspersed with articles, transcripts, and other documents. Draws heavily on the themes of Execute Program.

MIKE
Genre: Horror, pseudo horror, mystery, thriller, gothic romance (I really have no idea what to call this)
Universe: AU mostly borrowing from MCU but deeply set AU inspired by the Big Fish game Phantasmat
Characters/Pairings other than Steve/Tony: past Natasha/Bucky and past Natasha/Pierce, all off screen and background
Warnings: Major Character Death, ghosts, all characters may or may not be dead, descriptions of dead bodies, vague description of death/murder
Rating: Teen/Mature
Summary: Driving while tired is never a good idea, especially when the weather is terrible, as Tony finds out the hard way when he swerves to miss a car he didn't see and ends up running his car off the road and down and incline, hitting a power pole and blacking out. When he wakes up he's rescued from his car by a stranger, a man named Steve, who is crazy enough to be out in the rain, who leads him to the nearby Drowned Dead Hotel, perched on the cliff overlooking the submerged ruins of the town in the valley. Between the creepy hotel manager, the lady who lives in the hotel with too many secrets, and the phones that don't work, Tony isn't sure what to make of the weird hotel or the town below. Something isn't right, something is stopping him from leaving, just like it has kept Steve trapped there too. Together they must uncover the secrets of the town and the people who lived there if they have any hope of ever escaping.

NOVEMBER
Genre: Romance with a bit of angst, fluff and action, Identity Porn (sort of)
Universe: MCU (Pre-Avengers)
Characters/Pairings other than Steve/Tony: none
Warnings: Sexual Content
Rating: Mature or NC-17
Summary: Shortly after being defrosted, Steve meets a handsome stranger at a party and has the certain epiphany that sex is a good way to reconnect with the world that is now so strange to him. Because one thing that hasn’t changed is that sex is simple. That the man seems to hate the very thought of Captain America makes it even easier for some reason.
