Reveals begin May 1st, so it's time to go over detailed posting instructions.
What do I need:
-Artists, have your web size art plus a thumbnail (no larger than 300x200) ready to go.
-Authors, have your finished fics (at least 6k) web formatted and ready to go.
How it will work:
Each participating author and artist will upload their own artwork/fic individually. We strongly prefer that fic be hosted on Ao3 or LJ/DW (tumblr is NOT allowed for primary fic hosting). For art, we prefer one of the usual image hosting sites (deviantart, flickr, photobucket, private server, etc) but tumblr will be allowed if a direct link to the image file is included in the community masterpost.
Finding a direct image link on tumblr:
Upload art as a photo. Go to the post and expand the image to the largest resolution possible (either click on the image or click the High-res link). Typically the image will appear centered over a darker background. Right-click the image and select copy image location/copy image URL. Paste this direct link in your address bar and hit enter to test. The image should appear again centered over a gray background, and the URL in the address bar should NOT contain your blog URL. It should look something like this:
http://37.media.tumblr.com/809e8d5def4042940ab5eac48b3ca9b5/tumblr_n45dm0v7541rsrn78o2_1280.jpg
This is your static, direct image link.
For works posted to Ao3, please add your art/fic to the Cap-IM 2014 RBB collection. If you do not have an Ao3 account and would like an invite code, let us know and we'll hook you up.
On your chosen reveal day, ONE member from each team will make a masterpost to the main comm (LJ or DW), using the following header:
Remember to tag your masterpost. If a team member has not posted to the comm before, leave a note at the bottom and we'll create a tag for them.
If in doubt, follow this example from last year or leave a comment. We're aware that some folks are new at this, and we endeavor to make the process as painless as possible.

Date: 2014-04-30 07:41 am (UTC)Link to Art Page -> I guess that's the art masterpost, isn't it?
Direct link to art file -> All the files, one by one? I have more than one drawing (more like 8 or 9 xD) It's not a problem, I just want to know :)
Also, I guess the thumbnail would be just one drawing (the main one)?

Date: 2014-05-02 12:19 am (UTC)When you make a new post there is a "post to" option. Switch it to the cap_ironman community. (You will probably need to join first if you haven't already.) Then, below the large text box is a smaller one for tags. Hit the "select" link next to that and you can choose which tags to use (you'll only see the correct list if you have your post set to go to the comm).

Date: 2014-05-02 04:59 am (UTC)how to post in main community?
Date: 2014-05-20 03:27 pm (UTC)Sorry for being so last-minute, but I'm new in LJ, and unfortunately my author isn't much better with it either, and we don't have much idea about how this posting goes. Namely how we should post in the main community? (Sorry if I skipped this being explained somewhere, but it would be important, since we should be posting like today? ^^;)
Thank you very much for your patience and help!

To create new posts you'll need to join. Membership is open and posting is unmoderated. To make the post, head to LJ's main page and look for the post to blog link up top. When posting, there is an option to the top right to send thw post to communities you belong to instead of your personal blog.

Date: 2014-06-01 04:55 am (UTC)I signed up for a pinch hit. I sent the rough draft to my beta at the beginning of May and my posting date was May 21. My beta went internet dark a few days before my posting date (she was moving cross country) and promised to be back on and have my fic back to me in time even if she had to go to the library to send it. I gave it a few more days because I haven't been able to contact her even through non-internet methods and I've been worried.
With posting officially ended, I'm forced to admit that whatever is wrong, she's not going to be able to get back in time for my posting.
Can I get access to an emergency beta? The fic is short, just under 3500 words so it shouldn't be too difficult.
