Guidelines for writers:
1. You will be writing a companion fic to accompany your assigned artist's art.
2. Reverse Bang fics must be 5k words minimum.
3. Fics must be newly created for the artwork, and cannot be posted anywhere else or be part of a work in progress. It can’t be an old, unposted work or a WIP.
4. You may not publicly post Reverse Bang fics on any site before the reveals in May.
5. Fics must be complete at the time of posting. The goal of the challenge is for each team to produce a complete fic and a finished piece of art.
6. Fic must focus on Steve and Tony. The end goal does not have to be romantic, but Steve and Tony and their relationship (shippy or gen) should be central to any work produced. As per the community guidelines, non-Steve/Tony relationships or moresomes involving other characters are not allowed. Moresomes involving multiple versions of Steve or Tony are welcome.
7. You must be over 18 to participate in this event.
Authors and Artists alike: PLEASE keep in contact with your partner. This is a collaborative effort between the two of you, and both the fic and the art should reflect that.
Please be aware that by signing up now you are fully committing to the challenge. Failing to complete it may lead to a ban. If one member of a team fails to complete the challenge by their chosen deadline in May, that participant may be banned from future Cap-Iron Man events until either they complete the original challenge or one calendar year has passed, whichever comes first. By claiming or submitting art, you are agreeing to these terms. If a situation arises where you think you will need an extension, or will be unable to meet your commitments to the challenge, be sure to inform the event mods ASAP so we can talk about it and figure out the best solution.
If the claim time does not work for you, you can ask a friend claim for you--just pass along your username/email and your selections. If you can't find anyone else to claim for you, email us at cap.im.events@gmail.com and we'll ask someone to help!
