Cap-Iron Man Big Bang Claims are now CLOSED.
This is the CLAIMS phase of the Big Bang, and where the artists come in! An amazing TWENTY-FIVE drafts have been submitted and are now awaiting artists to claim them for a second time. By claiming a story, you assert that you will collaborate with your author(s) to produce custom artwork to accompany their story when posting begins in November. There is no penalty-free dropping out after this point. You do not need to be a member of the
cap_ironman community or have a Dreamwidth account to make your claim. Anonymous comments on this post are enabled. Your schedule:

After decades of peace, the law enforcement of New Yorseylvania is a mellow, gentle group of men and women who are at a loss for how to control this homicidal maniac. Tony Stark, a police lieutenant and life-long fan of the vigorous 21st century hero, suggests Captain America’s immediate reinstatement. With no better alternatives, the Captain is thawed for probation and reinstated to apprehend Crossbones once again.
Yet the more Steve learns about this serene, peace-loving future, the less comforted he feels. Diversity, inclusion, and individual freedom, the most virtuous and time-honorable American values have been cast aside in the pursuit of uniformity and protection. In fact, as every alarming piece falls into place, the bigger picture begins to look frighteningly familiar.

Summary:
Steve, drunk for the first time since the serum, hits on Tony who had brought him back to his room from an Avenger pool party. It's everything Tony's ever dreamt about, but he refuses to have sex with a drunk Steve who can't truly consent. They do kiss and Tony stays the night. The morning after brings a misunderstanding of disastrous proportion, where both men wrongly assume the other is totally uninterested and disgusted at the idea.
Life gets extremely complicated when Enchantress, mad at Thor, casts a spell that spreads over New York and its boroughs. In short, everyone touched by the spell can feel the injuries of the person they are in love with. Both Steve and Tony, determined not to burden the other and stop them from avenging, decide to hide that they are affected from everyone. It ends up being a serious problem in battle and everyday life, but also eventually allows them to realize their love isn't unrequited at all.
Fic is set in Avenger's Tower and the streets of New York for the battles (including Times Square). Action wise, the Avengers fight robots, trolls, and Enchantress/Amora twice. There are pool scenes (the party, and eventually the confession including wet kisses), and sparring sessions. Alternating POV.

Summary:
Takes place after Avengers and runs 10 years past Avengers 4. It’s MCU, and mostly canon, except for the slash, of course. Tony wants Steve and does something about it. They become a couple and then Civil War happens. Tony gets with Pepper and Steve with Nat though there is nothing on-screen. After IW, Tony comes home from Titan and they reconcile. Steve is willing to die to save the ones who have disappeared because he feels responsible somehow. They (The Avengers) do fix the mess and kill Thanos (which is described but not in horrific detail). Steve goes into the Quantum Realm and is rescued ten years on by Tony who just wants him back.
Most of the action takes place in Wakanda, since Steve is still a fugitive. There is a scene on Titan, though Steve and Tony are not there. Several graphic love scenes.

Bucky Barnes had been his platonic Omega during the war, and when he died, Steve was perfectly happy to go to his own death as well.

Summary:
Everyone expects Tony, Steve or both to die in Avengers 4, but what if they don't? What if they get to go home all in one piece? What then?
Tony takes a one year vacation into space looking for answers about his place into the world and his personal identity, as he feels it's something he's not been able to give much thought about since becoming Iron Man in 2008. But when he gets back to Earth, he finds out that a lot can go wrong in twelve months, so once again he's called to be a superhero, although in a very different kind of way, because Nick Fury's plan involves Tony infiltrating the US government in order to gather enough evidence to restore democracy.
Torn between his need to protect people and his wish to reconnect with Steve and maybe build a life with him, he'll soon find out that sometimes the hardest battle is not with aliens or supervillains, but with the enemy within.

Summary:
Steve spends his days as a body-swapping agent for SHIELD and many of his nights exploring the various bodies in the bedroom with young tech genius/business heir Tony—until one fateful mission changes everything. Steve wakes up 85 years later in a future where SHIELD is run by Hydra. All his friends are gone, except for a much changed Tony, who recruits Steve to investigate a series of murder attempts. It soon turns out things are much more complicated than they first seemed, and when Steve is finally reunited with the real future Tony, he joins the fight to help Tony regain the life that Obadiah Stane stole from him.
(MCU-based cyberpunk AU, inspired by Altered Carbon (show and books), but not set in that 'verse, so knowledge of it is not required. Includes body swapping, identity theft, past fuckbuddy relationship, and present getting together. Both main characters are in a few different bodies during the story: Steve mostly as Cap!Steve, but also as skinny!Steve and in a human-looking synthetic body; Tony looking like he's in his twenties, an old man, and in his forties.)

Genre: Angst and romance. Angsty romance. With a few action scenes thrown in. Sort of like Stan Lee's Tales of Suspense Tony's preoccupation with relationship angst only about Steve.

Characters/Pairings other than Steve/Tony: Happy/Pepper and Hank/Jan mentioned briefly, canonical Tony/Pepper in another/alternate universe also mentioned, briefly, and some of Steve and Tony's prior relationships, but none of them appear in the fic itself, Rumiko Fujikawa and Sunset Bain as well as Pepper appear, but Tony isn't involved with any of them romantically in the fic.

Set at the very beginning of Avengers/Iron Man/Cap volume 3, in the 616 universe. All the Avengers have returned from the alternate dimension where Franklin Richards sent them after they sacrificed themselves to defeat Onslaught--except Iron Man. Steve Rogers, though, believes that he's out there somewhere, and resolves to look for him. It turns out he's right, but when he finds Tony, he's mired in guilt and self-hatred as a result of what he did under Kang's mind control during the events of The Crossing storyline (three murders, attacking his younger self and the Avengers) and isn't even sure he wants to be Tony Stark anymore, let alone Iron Man. (Contains angst, self-hatred, and difficult conversations, as well as Tony getting perilously close to drinking again, but also romantic dancing scenes, cuddling, and some ass-kicking superhero moments. And kissing. Lots of kissing.)
